Royal Brunei Airlines were established in 1974 and provide scheduled flight services across the globe. An independent corporation and the flag carrier airline of the Sultan of Brunei, it is wholly owned by the Government of Brunei Darussalam. Their main hub is the Brunei International Airport in Berakas and they fly across Asia, the Middle East, Australasia and to the United Kingdom. Since the turn of the new millennium, Royal Brunei have raised their profile as an international airline and they have grown rapidly with the acquisition of new aircraft and modern technology and with increased levels of comfort and safety maintained. They now operate a fleet of six Boeing B767-300s, two Airbus A319s and two Airbus A320s, along with code-share agreements with several other airlines to make connecting flights to a wider choice of destinations easier.
