Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) were founded in 2002 and are the principal airline of Switzerland. From its Zurich hub and the further Swiss international airports of Basel and Geneva, they offer flights to over 79 destinations in 39 countries all over the world including Europe, South America, Africa, Asia and the USA. A subsidiary of Lufthansa, they operate a fleet of 85 aircraft including the Airbus A340, A330 and A320s and Avro RJ 100. A member of the Star Alliance (the largest airline network in the world), the SWISS mission is to connect Switzerland with Europe and the world.
