History and Information
Virgin Balloon Flights were launched in 1987 and provide hot air balloon rides at strategic locations across England, Scotland and Wales. With more than 100 launch sites throughout the UK in 41 counties, these hot air balloon flights claim a unique way to see the nation. Operating the largest fleet of balloons in the world; the recognisable red and white, Virgin branded balloons take you on an hour-long airborne adventure, approximately 5,000ft in the air and operated by highly trained, fully licensed pilots. For your added security, they are affiliated to the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority), the BBAC (British Balloon & Airship Club) and the BABO (British Association of Balloon Operators).
