History and Information
Air New Zealand are an international and domestic airline group which provides air passenger and cargo transport services worldwide. Founded in 1940 as the Tasman Empire Airways Limited, they became Air New Zealand in 1965 and a member of the Star Alliance in 1999. Apparently the only airline to circumnavigate the world; this award-winning national airline of New Zealand is based in Auckland. It operates a fleet of Boeing wide-body jets and Airbus aircraft on scheduled passenger flights to international destinations in 14 countries across the UK, New Zealand, Asia, Europe, North America, Australia and the South West Pacific and takes over 11.7 million passengers annually.
